The Third Annual Awards Night at the Movies
Galaxy Cinemas Owen Sound!
Owen Sound – February 20 2012 - Awards Night at the Movies is an evening long gala fundraising event centering around the broadcast of the 84th Academy Awards, including the Red Carpet portion of the broadcast, shown on the BIG screen at Galaxy Cinemas Owen Sound.
Supporting the United Way’s Children’s Fund, Awards Night at the Movies is becoming the “must attend” new event for the region.
The United Way of Bruce Grey is the only charity, in Canada, with permission from the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences, to stage such an event!
Tickets are only $25 and with only 170 tickets available, guests are encouraged to purchase their tickets well in advance to secure their seat at the hottest party in town.
Upon arrival at Awards Night at the Movies, guests will walk the red carpet, have their picture taken by paparazzi and be interviewed before video cameras by our red carpet hostess.
Guests will also have the opportunity to participate in multiple fundraising initiatives including the Silent Auction and “Best Picture” draw for their chance to win a Blue-ray Home Theatre System donated by Leons. Each ticket has an entry form, attendees must chose which movie will win “Best Picture” and upon the announcement, only ballots in that box are drawn from to win the Best Picture prize!
Throughout the evening, event host Donna Henry, radio show host from Bayshore Broadcasting will feature movie trivia, in-seat interviews as well as updates on the Silent Auction.
